Goodyear appoints Richard Tawlks as TruckForce equity business manager
Goodyear Tyres has appointed Richard Tawlks as TruckForce’s equity business manager. Tawlks has a wealth of experience in reducing the cost of tyre ownership and committing to safety and service standards delivered by TruckForce. Tawlks will be responsible for the strategic leadership of the TruckForce equity business, ensuring customers receive an industry leading tyre service and maintenance partnership. Tawlks has 25 years of experience within the transport industry. He has been a TruckForce regional manager since 2014.
Goodyear’s predictive Proactive Solutions mobility services technology and advanced telematics allow TruckForce to identify and resolve tyre-related issues before they happen to ensure 24/7 breakdown support and tyre supply to its customers.
Richard Tawlks, equity business manager of TruckForce comments: “It is my priority to continue to grow our Proactive Solutions business across the UK and embed the use of this new technology across our network. I hope to maintain the operational excellence which sets us apart from others in the market place, to providing a lower total cost of ownership for our customers and become the number one UK service provider.”
Commenting further on the challenges to the tyre industry Tawlks adds: “The industry is facing many changes as we transition to an electric future within the automotive sector. The biggest challenge is to ensure our technicians and network embrace the new technology and see it as an aid to the daily routine rather than a threat.”
