Yamamoto to become president & CEO of SRI

Once shareholder approval is granted, Satoru Yamamoto will assume the position of president and chief executive officer at Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd. (SRI) late next month. At the same time, incumbent president and chief executive officer, Ikuji Ikeda, will become chairman of the company’s Board of Directors.

Yamamato was elected SRI’s new president and chief executive by the Board of Directors on 27 December 2018 and will be voted upon at the Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders scheduled for 26 March.
