ECP becomes official Mahle retailer for ACX ArticPRO in UK, Ireland

From 2019, Euro Car Parts Group, the UK’s leading distributor of parts for all makes of cars and light commercial vehicles, and over 200 affiliates, is the official distributor of the new ACX ActicPro line for the UK and Ireland.

“The Mahle ACX air-conditioning line is characterized by high efficiency and user-friendliness,” explains Joachim Schneeweiss, head of sales EMEA (MEX) Mahle Service Solutions. “With the ECP Group we will have the opportunity to let the UK and Irish market experience first-hand and get High-quality assistance with the innovative contents of the new A/C line.”

“A novelty in the field of air-conditioning service units” says Santiago Malbran, Mahle Aftermarket sales area manager, one of the promoters of the agreement. “The whole front panel can be handled with one touch, opening up the unit like a car hood. Workshop experts save time and effort, and can instantly see the design of the unit and access all components directly. Other device features also contribute to the special ease of operation and maintenance: Workshops can submit an automatic service request to service technicians and view the device status at any time via the smartphone app.”

The new devices make the air-conditioning service particularly time-saving, Mahle states. For example, workshops receive fast support through remote maintenance directly on the device via Wifi. The large touch screen, which is standard for all devices, offers a process overview and a quick start function. Work on the vehicle can continue while automatic software updates are being performed in the background. The search for leaks in the air-conditioning system is carried out quickly with the help of nitrogen or forming gas via a direct connection to the air conditioner. In addition, the ASA interface on the device enables fast data exchange.

The new devices offer the AC performance test as standard. On the one hand, this feature can be used to perform a quick and meaningful performance test of the air conditioning system. On the other hand, this short test delivers the first concrete indications of possible causes for the malfunction detected within a few minutes.
