Xingda tyre cord opens European office

Chinese tyre cord manufacturer Xingda has opened a European office in Luxembourg. The new European operation has been registered as Xingda Europe Limited and is a subsidiary of Xingda International Holding Company.

According to the company, senior Xingda executives attended the official opening in December along with a number of representatives from leading tyre manufacturer customers.

Xingda is currently in the middle of an internationalisation and globalisation process of which the establishment of the European operation is the latest part. News of Xingda Europe follows the establishment of Xingda’s US operation and its Thailand manufacturing plant.

Xingda Europe aims to cover the whole of the continent from its European headquarters. Company representatives reports that the business will provide “efficient technical services to the regional rubber and tyre manufacturers” stating:

“Xingda Europe aims to help European customers create greater value and strengthen the relationship with European stakeholders, industry organizations, government, PR agencies and institutions…”.

Xingda General Manager Liu Xiang, said, “The establishment of Xingda Europe will certainly enhance the presence of Xingda in the whole European market, advance the implementation of the company’s internationalization strategy, and continue its leading role in the development of the rubber steel tyre cord industry all over the world.”

With nearly 7,000 employees worldwide, Xingda has three major production bases in Jiangsu, Shandong and Thailand, and has branches in the United States, Europe (Luxembourg) and Thailand. Next up is India. The firm also has technical service centres in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific.

Xingda Steel Tyre Cord describes itself as a leading manufacturer of rubber-steel cord, with “the world’s largest steel cord production and manufacturing base”. The company produces steel cord, bead wire, hose wire and special steel wire, etc. Applications include automobile tyres, high-pressure hose, construction machinery, elevators and conveyor belts.
