Auchinlea invests in fitter-force

Motherwell-based Auchinlea Tyres Ltd is participating in CAM’s new fitter-force digital tablet technology to remove back office costs and inaccuracies associated with the manual completion of service work, while improving its customer service through operational responsiveness.

The commercial tyre service provider has also upgraded its IT infrastructure to support the move.

Based on the e-jobsheet open-access, digital tablet-based service work exchange platform, fitter-force incorporates a diary system for effective resources (including mobile fitters) planning; job launch (to the e-jobsheet app); pricing; purchasing; stock control; invoicing and accounting. It also includes a full featured point of sale capability and comprehensive views of customer service activities by account.

Donna Shelley, director at Auchinlea Tyres, said: “When we started speaking with CAM about fitter-force we quickly understood its benefits in presenting an end-to-end view of fleet service operations for small to medium-sized fleet tyre service operators like ourselves. From work requests through to job completion and subsequent payment, on a job-by-job basis, CAM’s technology solution will enable us to future-proof our business.”

Mike Allen, managing director of CAM, adds, “Auchinlea is investing in its future to become even more responsive. Our easy-to-use software platform will provide them with an integrated system that meets all its field service and in-office work requirements.”
