Delticom acquiring another online food retailer

After building up Europe’s largest online tyre retail business, Delticom AG has branched out into ‘efood’ in recent times. Late last month, the company announced a further step in this area with the signing of an agreement to acquire all shares in All you need GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of Deutsche Post DHL Group.

All you need GmbH is active in the online food trade and operates the allyouneedfresh.de domain. Both parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. Subject to the approval of the German Federal Cartel Office, Delticom AG will take over the business on 31 October 2018.

With Allyouneed Fresh, Delticom acquires one of Germany’s largest online supermarkets. Customers can choose from over 20,000 articles. This transaction follows Delticom’s acquisition of Gourmondo and Lebensmittel.de in 2016. The allyouneedfresh.de site will remain active alongside Gourmondo.de and Lebensmittel.de in this fast-growing market segment.
