65 years young and still looking forward – CIMA
CIMA Impianti Spa might be celebrating its 65th anniversary this year, but the company reports that it continues to look forward. According to the company, features of the business’ 65-year pedigree include that it “keeps investing in buying equipment, but mainly in hiring people, a lot of which very young, giving space to a new generation capable of securing the future of the company.”
Another feature of this ongoing process is CIMA’s conscious decision to invest in the strengthening of its presence in the tyre market through the firm’s decades-long cooperation with new tyre manufacturers. Together, CIMA and its new tyre manufacturer partners have, over the years, cooperated in “many innovative projects.” Here’s just one example of the company’s on-going cooperation efforts: Recently, a well-known Asian company which is also present in the European market, selected CIMA at the end of a long evaluation process for its “considerable knowledge and know-how of the European tyre market.” The particular project saw CIMA assigned with the task of studying and designing high performance tyres for them, applying its expertise in proper sizing, tread designs, lettering and anything else necessary to complete the project and allow the customer to introduce a highly technological product on their Asian domestic market.
“Regarding equipment and developments, we are currently involved in several new projects ranging from pursuing the constant improvement of our equipment, by introducing new sizes and extending lube-free material to about all models and we are also working at creating software to give our customers more control over the retread process and extending remote support to all our machines,” company representatives told Tyres & Accessories.
CIMA’s next meeting with its customers is at the Automechanika show in Frankfurt where the company will be an exhibitor at the event.
