TechMan announces partnership at Automechanika Birmingham
TechMan, the fast-growing garage management system provider, enjoyed a hugely successful Automechanika Birmingham debut at the NEC in Birmingham from June 5-7.
The Northampton based business used the UK’s leading automotive aftermarket trade show as a perfect platform to announce an exciting collaboration with Autodata.
The partnership means that OE technical data for 34,000 models and 142 manufacturers is now available from within the TechMan garage management system, thanks to a seamless integration between the web-based platforms.
Autodata provides comprehensive technical information vehicle service, maintenance, diagnostic and repair procedures, covering 99 per cent of vehicles on the road.
Now technicians working with TechMan can log in across desktop, mobile and tablet devices to access Autodata’s 90,000 wiring diagrams and illustrations, 600,000 step-by-step procedures and search more than 79,000 diagnostic error codes.
“We were delighted to be approached by a market leader like Autodata,” said Leo Freebairn, national sales manager, at TechMan. “We’ve been able to develop this functionality really quickly and it’s been enthusiastically welcomed by customers as a real time-saver.”
TechMan enables technicians to access everything they need to complete work including customer details, vehicle information, service check sheets, previous communications – and now Autodata’s resources – from a single screen.
“Automechanika Birmingham was great for us,” said Freebairn. “The stand was busy with a steady flow of garages; there’s no doubt being able to demonstrate the system and answer questions there-and-then helps garages realise the benefits TechMan can bring to their business.”
