Yves Kerstens to leave Bridgestone

Bridgestone Corporation shares that Yves Kerstens, chief technology officer of its Bridgestone Asia Pacific Pte Ltd. subsidiary, will leave the company on 31 December 2017. Yoshikazu Shida, currently director of Bridgestone Corporation’s Public Relations and Environmental External Relations division, will succeed him in this position in early January.

This news, published today, replaces Bridgestone’s announcement of 4 September 2017 regarding a further role for Kerstens. In addition to his position as chief technology officer, as well as vice-president and senior officer of Bridgestone Corporation, Kerstens was in line to become chief executive officer of Bridgestone Asia Pacific. Yoshikazu Shida will now also take on the role of chief executive officer at the start of 2018.
