Fontijne Holland celebrates relaunch
Fontijne Holland celebrated the relaunch of its wheel production lines business unit on Monday 6 November 2017. The reception was held in the charming courtyard garden of the company’s premises in Vlaardingen, with towering indigenous plants and ponds filled with graceful koi.
Kees Scholtes, the new chief operating officer (COO)/local manager at Fontijne Holland gave the opening speech. He offered a perspective on the company’s future and praised his team: “I am proud of the new group of qualified colleagues. Nearly all of them were previously employed by the former parent company and transitioned enthusiastically along with us. That testifies to their confidence in this relaunch, and above all in each other. As a result, we can guarantee that our team has the knowledge and experience to give our clients expert support.”
Mr Jin and an accompanying delegation came over from China especially for the occasion. In addition to being a commissioning client, Mr Jin is also an investor with close ties to Fontijne Holland. Andre Fontijne, CEO until 2008 and landlord of the business offices, joined Mr. Jin and Kees Scholtes in performing the opening act, which also marked the moment that the premises were officially in use. Marjolein Fontijne, daughter of the family, wished Fontijne Holland a prosperous future and donated a Gingko tree –now planted by the entrance– on behalf of the family to symbolise hope and strength.
