Tyre Bay Direct now part of Atlas Equipment

Following the news that Tyre Bay Direct entered administration on 25 September, the company has announced that it is now part of Atlas Equipment. According to the company website, “After a short break in operations, Tyre Bay Direct is now fully operational and capable of meeting the usual needs of customers.”

The deal reportedly took effect a few days after the firm called in the administrators on 29 September 2017.

With 13 locations across the United States and Canada, as well as exporting to Central and South America, Atlas Automotive Equipment is “known for its excellent value for money”.

Created by Greg Smith, who started the story in his first store in Indiana in 1982, Atlas aims to bring “a wide range of products consisting of tyre machines, lifts and garage equipment.” At the same time being part of this group is described as “a big plus for Tire Bay Direct as well as for its customers”.

Moving forward, over the next few weeks and months, customers will see “a wide range of new products on our website, including a new line of tools from the Atlas division called Mountain Tools”, the firm explained.
