Point S opens 500th outlet in France
Independent tyre dealer group Point S has opened its 500th point-of-sale in France, and Point S France is planning for further growth by the end of the year. The aim by the end of 2017 is to have 520 locations within the country.
“There is strength in numbers”, comments Christophe Rollet, chief executive officer of Point S France and vice-president of Point S Development. “We are proud to have reached this size of network. Over the past 15 years Point S France has doubled the size of its network. It shows that we have been able to structure and to develop our banner and concept by adapting ourselves to the market evolution facing an ongoing consolidation in the distribution.”
The Point S trademark is said to have reached an 80 per cent awareness level in France, and it attracts new members through four concepts designed to meet the expectations of various entrepreneurs’ profiles in different trading areas:
- Point S City, for the rural areas and city centres;
- Point S fast fit, located in urban areas;
- Point S Auto Center, close to malls areas, with a self-service section in the outlet;
- Point S Industrial, targeting B2B customers (commercial vehicle, OTR, agricultural) located in industrial business areas.
The 500th Point S France outlet is located in Gignac, in the South of France. It is offering car maintenance as well as tyre services for truck and agricultural vehicles.
In total, some 3,500 Point S retail outlets operate in 32 countries, with over 120 new points of sale added since the start of 2017.
