Dunlop tyres OE on Beta Evo
Italian trial and off-road motorcycle manufacturer Betamotor has chosen Dunlop tyres for its latest Evo 2T 2-stroke and Evo 4T 4-stroke range. The Dunlop D803GP will be supplied to Beta in both 80/100R21 and 120/100R18 sizes.
Dunlop comments that Beta’s objective with the Evo 2T and 4T family was to develop bikes that “can cope with the demands of championship winners, but also offer accessible performance to amateurs and less experienced riders.” Safe territory for the D803GP then, a tyre Dunlop says “delivers in a wide range of conditions for off-road leisure and competitive riding.” After testing by Beta, the Dunlop D803GP was chosen due to its compliant casing construction, which helps to “deliver excellent traction.”
Other features of the Dunlop D803GP include a silica blended compound designed to offer high grip levels in wet or cold conditions, as well as a tread and construction that offers a faster turning response – this, comments Dunlop, “perfectly complements” the agile Beta Evo.
“This new technical collaboration is significant as both companies have a long history in competition,” states Miguel Morais, original equipment manager, Dunlop Motorcycle EMEA. “Dunlop tyres were first used in competition nearly 130 years ago, and Beta was formed 112 years ago. The experience of both companies has been combined to form a new partnership based around the proven trial-winning performance of the Dunlop D803GP.”
