MTS launches ‘major upgrade’ to TyreClick
Micheldever Tyre Services (MTS) has launched what it terms “a major upgrade” to its TyreClick online retail site for independent customers. The company states that the upgrade represents one of the biggest and most significant investments in TyreClick since its launch in 2014, including a number of new design and user functionality features. The tyre wholesaler added that it would “never stop investing in its ambition to make TyreClick the best tyre selling site in the business” following the implementation of the new developments.
MTS states that the design and structure of the site has been overhauled to make it more engaging, professional and contemporary, with the latest responsive design techniques implemented to increase user functionality across various mobile devices. Visitors accessing TyreClick via mobile phone have increased considerably in the past year, MTS adds, predicting that it will be the most common way to reach the site in six months’ time.
Further features include a more refined search option to allow users to filter out specific tyre brands and tyre types, and an MOT booking facility, enabling users to submit their registration number to identify any upcoming MOT, which will then allow the user to book their test instantly online.
The upgrade has been implemented to deliver two key objectives for TyreClick, MTS states: to improve Google SEO effectiveness in order to drive more search traffic, and to reflect the latest usability and website design currently available.
Alan Baldwin, sales director at Micheldever, said: “While TyreClick continues to be an extremely powerful e-commerce tool for our network of independent tyre dealers, we are not resting on our laurels in our desire to improve it further.
“With this latest round of investment in time and money in the TyreClick website, we are recognising the changes in how consumers use websites and demonstrating to our partner dealers our ongoing commitment to assisting them in growing their business digitally.
“Looking to the future we are not going to stop investing in the site, as we continue to press on with our ambition to have the best tyre selling site in the business and ensure our partner dealers have the best opportunities to sell or compete online.”
MTS’s dealer network has welcomed the new look TyreClick site, exemplified by Melton Mowbray Tyres, which welcomes the investment into the site and the results it is producing. John Barrett of Melton Mowbray Tyres said: “I am delighted with the investment that MTS have put into the TyreClick website and I’m really pleased with the new and improved design.
“It helps me keep up with what’s going on in the online tyre market and the new changes have helped enhance what is already a strong and effective selling tool for my business.”
Since its launch in 2014, TyreClick has continued to grow year on year. MTS states that the latest figures show a 90 per cent increase in sales value for those selling through the site. TyreClick supports more than 900 transactional websites, which are linked to independent tyre retailers, each with their own local URL. This means motorists can search for their local dealers and buy tyres direct from them.
