China starts anti-dumping probe into EU rubber imports
At the end of August China’s Ministry of Commerce began a year-long anti-dumping investigations into imported hydrogenated butyl rubber from the European Union, the United Sates and Singapore.
The request for anti-dumping measures was formally submitted to the Ministry by Zhejiang Cenway New Materials Co., Ltd. and Panjin Heyun New Materials Co., Ltd. on 14 August 2017, according to a statement posted on the Ministry’s website.
Butyl rubber is used in products such as tyre inner tubes and inner liners. ExxonMobil, which was formerly headed by current US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, is the world’s largest producer of butyl rubber.
