Next morning delivery now standard – Klarius partners with AutoLogistiks
As a result of a new, exclusive partnership deal with AutoLogistiks, Klarius Products Ltd is now able to offer almost all its customers next morning delivery of stock orders. These speeded-up shipments of exhausts, CATs, DPFs, mounting kits and other products will arrive at customers courtesy of AutoLogistiks’ dedicated UK fleet of Mercedes Crafter and Sprinter vans, allowing distributors to fulfil orders the same day.
Every day, Klarius processes between 600 and 1,000 deliveries to locations across the British Isles, with the vast majority arriving at stockists before lunchtime. Tens of thousands of parts are delivered on a daily basis from the UK manufacturing site, with drivers leaving from the Klarius facility in Cheadle, Staffordshire early in the morning, every day of the week.
Klarius comments that operating an efficient logistics network that supplies aftermarket exhaust components is especially challenging, as they are generally bulky items that have to be handled with care and occupy a large amount of space. The fluctuations of demand for certain parts must be evaluated regularly, to ensure distributors have continued access to both fast moving popular items and more specialised components. By employing dynamic stocking procedures and fast delivery, Klarius has addressed these concerns, with the AutoLogistiks van fleet making the process even easier.
Paul Hannah, Business Development Director at Klarius Products, described the significance of the new logistics partnership: “We are currently going through a long period of reinvestment at Klarius, optimising facilities and boosting our logistics network. The AutoLogistiks partnership means we can deliver even more parts earlier on a daily basis, pushing our already established network forward. We will be able to deliver more products, to more parts of the country simultaneously – offering our customers even more of our range on our typically minimal lead times. It will be exciting for our customers and motorists to reap the benefits of this growth.”
The new logistics network and vans also take extra care of components in transport and when dropping them off. For this reason, the Klarius stock and AutoLogistiks distribution service is being made open to other aftermarket producers as a dependable sub-contract distribution solution for the automotive aftermarket.
By building on a robust logistical platform, Klarius says it has “ensured the preservation of its market leading lead times, while also expanding its support and reach to the domestic market.”
