Nizhnekamskshina: 8.8 million tyres made last year
At its recent annual shareholders’ meeting, the chief engineer of Russian tyre maker PJSC Nizhnekamskshina reported the company’s output for 2016. According to Aidar Belyaev, last year Nizhnekamskshina produced a total of 8,771,420 tyres.
Of this, 7,154,155,356 were passenger car tyres and a further 1,516,811 were commercial vehicle tyres. Agricultural tyre output stood at 76,715 pieces and industrial tyre output at 23,538 pieces.
Within the local market, the tyre maker shipped more than 900,000 original equipment tyres from its Nizhnekamsk plant in Tatarstan to Russian and international vehicle manufacturers, including AvtoVAZ, Kamaz, UK Gaz Group, Volkswagen Group Rus, Ford Sollers Holding and Renault-Nissan.
As of last year, the Nizhnekamskshina portfolio included 153 sizes in the Viatti brand, 37 for Kama Euro and 54 for the Kama brand.
