New general manager for Tyres in Stock
Leon van den Ouden has been appointed general manager of online tyre specialist Tyres in Stock Europe B.V. He takes over tasks previously performed by company owner Siem Klapwijk, such as furthering the B2B tyre platforms international development. Klapwijk will remain involved with Tyres in Stock, albeit in a less prominent role.
Van den Ouden comes from the financial services sector and has twenty years of B2B experience in various roles within the Rabobank Group. “As general manager of Tyres in Stock Europe B.V., I have been appointed to support and structure the Country Managers and their teams in the Netherlands, England, Germany, France and Poland,” he states, adding that in the coming years Tyres in Stock wants “to realise a growth of at least 20 percent.”
When Tyres in Stock was founded in 2010, the company employed just two people. By 2017, the business had grown to the extent that it needed 20 employees. “This requires a full-time general manager”, says Van den Ouden. “I knew Siem from my network and he asked me to take on the task.”
