Peter Becker leaving Kumho Tire

Kumho Tire Europe has issued a statement regarding Peter Becker’s intention to leave the company. Becker will reportedly part ways with Kumho at his own request this summer; the tyre maker says specific details regarding his future career plans are “not known at the moment.”

The former Apollo Vredestein head of R&D joined Kumho Tire in summer 2012, and as executive managing director of the Kumho European Technical Center (KETC) in Mörfelden, Germany was responsible for numerous European research and development projects, including specific tyre solutions for the European market as well as original equipment tyres developed according to leading European vehicle manufacturers’ specifications. Under his leadership, for example, Kumho Tire achieved significant success and expanded its business with BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Fiat and the Volkswagen Group.
