Nitin Mantri to replace Yogesh Mahansaria as CEO of ATG
Yogesh Mahansaria is to step down as chief executive officer of the company he founded. Alliance Tire Group (ATG) has announced the appointment of Nitin Mantri as chief executive officer – designate, and states that he will “be taking over the reins” from Mahansaria over the coming few months.
Mantri joins the tyre maker from Cummins Inc. and will be based at the ATG corporate office in Mumbai, India. ATG states that he brings more than 23 years of global experience in general management, operations, business development and strategic planning with him. Mantri’s most recent position at Cummins Inc. was that of general manager of the company’s Fuel Systems business, a role in which he led a team of more than 3,000 employees across five countries, and was responsible for a P&L of US$600 million and was instrumental in executing a business turnaround.
Nitin Mantri received his qualification in mechanical engineering from Pune University in India and completed a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering at Texas A&M University. He also holds a Master in Business Administration from the University of Michigan.
