Yokohama to launch motorsport, UHP, 4×4 tyres at Autosport International
Show marks start of Japanese manufacturer’s centenary year celebrations
Yokohama will launch three new high performance tyres for motorsport, road and off-road applications at Autosport International next week. The NEC, Birmingham show is also an important one for the company not only as Europe’s largest indoor pre-season motorsport event, but as the start of its centenary year celebrations. The road-legal race tyre, Advan A052 will make its UK debut; Yokohama’s new tyre for sports, tuned and performance car drivers, Advan Fleva V701 will also be on display; and finally the new Geolandar A/T G015 for SUV and high performance off-road vehicles will also be revealed.
“As Japan’s oldest tyre manufacturer, Yokohama celebrates its centenary year in 2017 so it is only fitting that we will be kicking off the year at Autosport International with so many new and exciting product launches,” comments David Seward, managing director of Yokohama HPT. “Not only are our premium road tyres being selected as original equipment by a growing number of leading vehicle manufacturers, our motorsport tyres remain incredibly popular with those looking for the ultimate competitive performance. These new tyres are sure to add to this appeal.”
As well as seeing Yokohama’s new road and race tyres, visitors to the company’s stand – 2750, in Hall 20 – will be able to immerse themselves and experience the thrills and exhilaration of a Special Circuit hot lap within the Nűrburgring in an exclusive virtual reality simulator. Visitors will be able to log their lap times, and the winner of the fastest lap of each day will win some exclusive Yokohama merchandise.
