New appointments at Hankook Tire for 2017
Hankook Tire and its holding company Hankook Tire Worldwide have announced a round of executive appointments that will take effect on 1 January 2017. The first day of the new year sees Hankook Tire Worldwide take on two new senior vice-presidents and two vice-presidents, while Hankook Tire has promoted one new senior vice-president and 14 vice-presidents.
“The new executive appointments were focused on enhancing the role of internal infrastructure and its strategy for emerging market to strengthen global competitiveness,” writes Hankook Tire in a statement. “It is also intended to help the company increase its brand value through proactive culture, which is a corporate culture of challenge and innovation, reinforce human resource management and internal infrastructure organising the digital realm.”
The new senior vice-presidents at Hankook Tire Worldwide are Yong-Hak Kim, who served in various positions in Europe between 2007 and 2014 and is now
division director of the Global Process Innovation Planning department division, and Soon-Gi Yoon, division director of the Business Infra division. The new vice-presidents are Young-Kook Choi from the accounting team within the Finance & Accounting department, and Jong-Yun Kim, from the CSR team within the Human Resource department.
Hankook Tire has promoted Young-Seol Byun, division director of the Asia Pacific and Middle East Corporate Marketing and Sales department division, to senior vice-president. The promoted vice-presidents include two people based at the Hankook Tire Europe headquarters: Jae-Seock Ryu, who works in the Global OE department, and Byoung-Ryong Lee, who is with the Northern Central Europe & CIS Sales Team. The other vice-presidents are: Jin-Mo Kim, Hyun-Cheol Kim, Jeong-Hwan Jo, Jin-Gyun Jeoung, Young-Su Choi, Sang-Hyun Oh, Ji-Sung Kim, Sung-Ho Kim, Yung-Ouk Jeong, In-Soo Park, Dong-Wook Kim and Heon-Joon Kim.
Meanwhile, Soo-Il Lee, who has served chief operating officer for Hankook Tire’s Chinese operations, a business producing 31 million tyres, is to take on the role of chief operating officer of the tyre maker’s marketing division and corporate management division. Byung-Il Woo, currently division director of Hankook Tire’s Global OE division, will succeed him as chief operating officer of the Hankook Tire China headquarters.
