Autoinform Live gala dinner raises funds for BEN
The recent 2016 Autoinform Live show was responsible for raising an impressive £1,800 for automotive industry charity BEN during its glitzy evening gala dinner. With raffle tickets on sale throughout the first day of the show, 500 guests joined the show’s OESAA organisers for Saturday’s evening event which took place at the Molineux Stadium, home of Wolverhampton Wanderers FC.
In addition to the fine dining, guests enjoyed live entertainment from popular comedian Mick Miller and seized the chance to get their hands on some of the incredible prizes on offer, all of which were donated by OESAA members and associates.
The winners took home a five supercar blast courtesy of ZF Services Ltd, three Bosch OBD100 / IXO bundles, an INA OAP tool and Carrera racing set from Schaeffler, a mixed case of items from BG Products, a Sykes £50 tool voucher, an ADS oscilloscope, a suspension lifting tool supplied by Pichler, and many more.
In a separate draw held for all attendees, one lucky delegate also won a personalised business analysis by Andy Savva which will help to maximise their workshop efficiency.
The money is to be donated to BEN: a not-for-profit organisation that provides support for life to everyone who works, or has worked, in the automotive industry. Focusing on the four main pillars of peoples’ health and wellbeing: financial, physical, mental and social, BEN provides confidential, free support services for industry employees past and present, as well as their family dependents.
Commenting on the money raised, OESAA chairman Nigel Morgan said: “We’d like to say thank you to all attendees for their generosity on Saturday night, and to the OESAA members and associates that donated the amazing raffle prizes.
“Guests and exhibitors alike really got into the spirit of the event throughout, which undoubtedly helped to make it so successful.”
