AA Garage Guide partners with Motor Ombudsman
Online search and booking platform, AA Garage Guide has unveiled its partnership with the Motor Ombudsman – formerly known as Motor Codes. As part of the new link, the Motor Ombudsman will advocate the AA Garage Guide platform to all of its accredited garages with immediate effect.
The Motor Ombudsman is designed to facilitate the self-regulation of the UK’s motor industry through its comprehensive Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI) -approved Codes of Practice. Thousands of franchised dealers and independent garages are accredited to its Service and Repair Code, with which it hopes to raise standards of work and service within the automotive industry.
The AA Garage Guide states that its relationship with the Motor Ombudsman was formed through a mutual interest in steering motorists “towards garages and service centres that consistently deliver the highest levels of service for the good of all road users.” The AA has set strict criteria for garages wishing to join the Garage Guide platform, with an emphasis on customer care.
The AA adds that high standards are of primary interest to its online visitors: 90 per cent base their search results on quality, and 100 per cent of the top ten most booked garages are Motor Ombudsman-accredited. In fact, of all four to five-star garage ratings that are submitted to the site by customers, 78 per cent are affiliated with The Motor Ombudsman.
The reciprocal relationship between the two organisations will see the immediate promotion of listings on the AA Garage Guide platform to the Motor Ombudsman’s accredited businesses, whilst The AA will endorse The Motor Ombudsman as the benchmark of industry quality.
AA Garage Guide director, Lucy Burnford, commented: “The AA is already the UK’s most trusted brand, but this agreement with an important industry body such as The Motor Ombudsman provides even greater reassurance to our customers that we guide them to garages that we’re confident they can trust to take care of them and their cars.”
