AlloyGator wins SEMA Global Media Award

“The response to the AlloyGator protection system around the world has been absolutely fantastic and for it to win a SEMA Global Media Award is a real honour,” comments Curt Rathbone, managing director at AlloyGator. “Our dedicated and skilled network of distributors and fitters across the world has made it possible for us to take this product global and we intend to carry this momentum forward into the future and continue to expand into new territories.”

AlloyGator used this year’s SEMA show to unveil its new larger profile alloy wheel protectors. Fitting alloy wheels from 12 to 12-inches in diameter, the new AlloyGators are ideally suited for vehicles that tend to have larger wheel rims, such as SUVs and supercars.

Furthermore, as a result of four new colour launches this year, including gold, bronze and glow in the dark, AlloyGator now offers the super-tough nylon rim protectors in a selection of 15 colours, meaning that drivers can now customise whatever car they drive to their individual style.

“The idea of customisation and personalisation has been growing throughout the world,” said Linda Spencer, SEMA director of international and government relations. “Our goal is to have media experts from around the world determine which new products are likely to succeed in their home markets. The automotive speciality-equipment market is made up from enthusiasts who are passionate about their hobby, and so it’s exciting to see how their love for cars, trucks and SUV’s is impacting those throughout the world.”

While AlloyGators can be fitted by motorists themselves, the company says they provide workshops with an ideal opportunity to generate incremental revenue through the additional labour sales needed to fit the protectors, along with increased parts sales and healthy margins on the product itself.
