Hats on 4 BEN to support mental health
BEN would love everyone to help them raise funds for the worthwhile cause of supporting colleagues with mental health challenges. In line with their new mental health campaign which was launched on World Mental Health Day, they are raising funds for BEN to support colleagues facing mental health challenges. The ‘Hats on 4 Mental Health Day’ on Thursday 10 November is a great way for colleagues to have some fun and raise money at the same time by making a £1 donation to wear their favourite hat to work for the day.
While the day itself is light-hearted, the work Ben does within the automotive community offers a vital lifeline to those in need. They offer free, confidential advice, information and support to colleagues and their families who are struggling with some of the challenges associated with mental health. It’s all about making a positive, long-lasting difference to people’s lives and by making a donation you’re really helping to help them.
Sadly, mental health challenges can affect anyone, anytime, with research showing that around 1 in 3 people experience these challenges at work. So it’s vital that to carry on providing support to keep our colleagues healthy and happy, in and out of the workplace.
You can organise your own ‘Hats On 4 Mental Health Day’ at work, encouraging your colleagues to join in and donate. Or you could nominate someone to be the event organiser.
