After 27 years: Thun-Hohenstein leaves Pirelli “at his own request”

Pirelli veteran Uberto Thun-Hohenstein has left the company. According to an internal Pirelli circular, the senior vice-president of Pirelli’s Moto business unit “left the company at his own request.” The text further stated: “We thank him for 27 years of service rendered for Pirelli.”

Over the last thee years, Uberto Thun-Hohenstein has worked intensively on the global expansion of the tyre maker’s motorcycle tyre business. Prior to his appointment within the Moto business unit, he served until June 2013 as CEO of Pirelli’s Central Europe region. From 2001 to 2007 he was in charge of Pirelli’s German subsidiary.
