TIA elects John Evankovich as secretary
At its AGM, between 22-24 June 2016, the Tire Industry Association (TIA) board of directors elected John Evankovich as its new secretary. He will begin his one-year term as secretary on 31 October 2016. After that year, he will proceed as vice president, then president, then past president; all of these positions are for one-year terms.
“John has tremendous industry experience and a proven commitment to the association. We are fortunate to have him taking on this leadership role on our board and the entire industry will benefit from his expertise,” said TIA executive vice president Roy Littlefield.
Evankovich is a 26-year retail veteran who has been focused on the tyre industry for the majority of his career. He started his career in the tyre business with Sam’s Club and has progressed through various operations and human resource roles in many areas of the country. Today, Evankovich is the director of Sam’s Club’s Tire and Battery Centers. His responsibilities encompass all operations of over 630 retail locations all over the United States.
