Cooper opens new fulfilment centre in Hamburg

Cooper Tire Europe has opened a new European Fulfilment Centre (EFC) located in Hamburg, Germany. According to the company, the EFC will “serve customers throughout Europe and Scandinavia”.

The “fully operational” facility is said to have capacity for “hundreds of thousands of units”, including all of the latest high performance tyres under the Cooper, Avon and Starfire brand names. Products stocked at the EFC are sourced from Europe, Asia and the United States.

Jeff Schumaker, managing director, Cooper Tire Europe, said: “We have partnered with a world-class third-party logistics provider, Fiege, to commission the new EFC in Hamburg. Having a warehouse located in Germany enables us to improve delivery and service levels to our customers by increasing the speed of getting tyres into the market. We are delighted to have officially opened this new facility, which we expect will immediately benefit customers in Europe and Scandinavia with faster product delivery.”
