ATS Euromaster expands pilot truck services programme
ATS Euromaster has expanded its pilot truck services programme. The network is seeking to expand its service, maintenance and repair business with large commercial vehicle fleets. Phase one of the programme, launched in April 2015, marked the first time ATS Euromaster had expanded its range of services beyond tyres and wheels for commercial vehicles above seven tonnes gvw. Now a further 10 locations can provide SMR support to truck operators. They stretch from Glasgow to Exeter to cover key locations along some of Britain’s most significant transport routes, including the M1, M4, M5, M6, Felixstowe, and Tilbury.
ATS Euromaster’s heavy SMR centres provide a variety of expert services tailored to maximising uptime for both medium and heavy trucks. Technicians are fully trained to supply and fit replacement truck brake pads, air cables, electrical coils and suzie lines from an extensive stock.
They also offer supply and fit replacement truck batteries with two year unlimited mileage guarantees, plus a rapid response service for jumpstarting trucks in need of urgent assistance when away from base at key UK ports.
The centres are equipped to re-charge truck air-conditioning systems with gas and lubricant to ensure optimum efficiency, as well as freshen up systems with a deep anti-bacterial clean. A full array of replacement truck wheel nuts and wheel studs are stocked too, adding to a range of wheel services previously offered including replacement aluminium and steel wheels, dynamic wheel balancing and wheel alignment.
Peter Fairlie, group sales director, ATS Euromaster, says: “Following our focus on six centres in key road freight heartlands, we’re expanding the project in response to customer demand. It’s now even easier for truck fleet operators to access services that will save on fuel, maximise vehicle uptime and keep their drivers safe.
“This marks a natural extension of our services for truck fleets beyond tyres and wheels, for which our expertise is best known.”
The 16 heavy SMR specialist centres are part of a network of 193 ATS Euromaster centres offering commercial vehicle tyres (more than half of the total network), backed by a national mobile service fleet comprising some 820 vans. This gives ATS Euromaster a larger footprint than many truck manufacturer’s own franchised dealers. Drivers can also buy batteries at 177 centres across the country, and 112 centres offer air-conditioning services.
