Welcome back Michelin – Point S France selling market-leading tyre brand again

Four years after Christophe Rollet called upon French Point S members to boycott Michelin, the brand has made a comeback in the network's portfolio

Alongside the launch of Point S City, another new development within the French Point S operation is the return of Michelin. Four years ago the network removed the brand – which accounted for 40 per cent of Point S turnover in France – from its portfolio after the two companies failed to reach a consensus regarding terms and conditions for the coming year.

Christophe Rollet called upon the country’s 280 Point S members to boycott the French market leader, and reports suggest that this boycott was successful. Now the Michelin brand has made a return to Point S, a move the network considers “a true opportunity.”
