Nokian eLine 2 – a ‘safer, greener future today’

A successor to Nokian Tyres’ AA label-rated eLine will come to market this spring. The Nokian eLine 2 summer range repeats the prior model’s feat of achieving the top rating in the European tyre label’s wet grip and fuel efficiency categories, and is said to be the product of “nearly four years of development and extensive field testing” in Germany, Finland and Spain. Nokian states that the eLine 2, a tyre developed for “Central European drivers who want to enjoy a safer, greener future today,” features the “most modern technology in the industry. At launch the range contains five sizes for 15 and 16-inch rim diameters and H and W speed ratings.

“Combining absolutely reliable safety characteristics and the green values favoured by the consumers in the same tyre is the largest challenge for tyre manufacturers,” reflects Jarno Ahvenlammi, product development manager at Nokian Tyres. “The balanced nature of the Nokian eLine 2 is made possible by the new, eco-friendly structural and material solutions. Precise handling under extreme conditions is combined with lightly rolling driving comfort.”
