Valeo adds to wiper motor range

Just in time for winter, Valeo has added ll new references to its range of wiper motors; there are now 120 wiper motors in the Valeo range, all of which come from Valeo’s Original Equipment (OE) production lines. Valeo has a very significant position as a supplier of wiper motors to OE car manufacturers in Europe and, as a result, a privileged role to play as a provider of aftermarket parts, if any need replacing during the life of the car. Then, as a matter of fact, there is a strong opportunity to grow sales with Valeo’s wiper motors for the independent automotive aftermarket.

Valeo’s new rear wiper motor references cover the following applications for: Audi A1, A4, A6, S4, RS4 Quattro, Q5 and SQ5; Seat Exeo Sportourer and Ibiza IV; VW Caddy III, IV and Touareg II; and, Porsche Cayenne. The references are now listed on TecDoc and MAM cataloguing systems.

As the range offers like-for-like replacement on proposed Valeo parts, 100 per cent fitting accuracy is guaranteed for installers, minimising the risk of incorrect mounting.

Every wiper motor new reference undergoes rigorous testing to ensure OE quality standards are reached. Throughout the process, factors such as the measurement and monitoring of wiping angle, power, voltage and speed are assessed. Tests are also carried out in pre-defined climate profiles, such as winter and humid temperatures, to guarantee optimal performance during varied weather conditions.

Wiper motors fail for a number of reasons, either corrosion, lack of use or through heavy loading when drivers attempt to clear snow and ice from a windscreen.
