TIA inducting Glen Nicholson as president
Tire Industry Association (TIA) will hold its Annual Membership Meeting on 2 November where Glen Nicholson will be inducted as the association’s new president. Nicholson will serve a one-year term.
Nicholson graduated high school in Burke, Virginia near Washington, D.C. He attended college at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida and during his sophomore year he started working as a tire technician at Allied Tire Sales. While attending the University of Central Florida he was offered a full-time job as an auto technician for a NTW (National Tire Warehouse) franchisee. Approximately 18 months later, Nicholson was promoted to manager of that location.
Other store manager jobs followed before Nicholson was offered a job with TBC Corporation teaching sales and store management for Tire Kingdom Service Centers. Today he is senior director, retail training for TBC Corporation, one of North America’s largest marketers of automotive replacement tyres.
In addition, TIA will also introduce Tom Formanek, Regional Sales Manager, Stellar Industries as Vice President and David Martin, Director of Sales – Tire Supplies and Specialty Rubber, American Tire Distributors as Secretary.
