Orion names Rubber Carbon Black SVP

On 1 September, Orion Engineered Carbons S.A. announced the appointment of Erik Thiry as senior vice president, Rubber Carbon Black, effective immediately. Thiry has been the senior vice president, Business Development and a member of the executive management team since May 2012. In his former position, Thiry worked closely with both the Rubber and Specialty Carbon Black business lines. He also has over 15 years of experience in management consulting, including the chemical industry, at a global consulting firm.

Thiry holds a master’s degree in business management and mechanical engineering from the University of Kaiserslautern, Germany.
