Enzo and Lancaster bomber prime bank holiday attractions

£20 million worth of luxury cars were on display…and a Lancaster bomber.

Bush Tyres and the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre are reflecting on a successful Bank Holiday Monday, after assembling some of the world’s most iconic planes and automobiles for a fifth annual extravaganza – featuring £20 million worth of luxury cars.

And despite typical Bank Holiday weather to contend with, more than 2,000 people attended the show, helping to raise £2,000 for chosen charity Leukemia & Lymphona Research.

Strongman Dave Johnson pulled a Lancaster Bomber along the runway at the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre in one particular highlight, while a Ferrari Enzo won Best in Show for the Concours de Elegance.

Meanwhile, a series of prizes and promotions were offered by Bridgestone in a high profile display of its own, featuring a Formula One simulator, a golf simulator, a hospitality unit and a chance to win a BMW i3 car worth up to £30,000.

Bush Tyres director Tom Bush said: “There were a number of highlights from the event, which continues to go from strength-to-strength, no matter what the weather throws at us! It was our fifth year of running the event in conjunction with ZR Tyres, Bridgestone and the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre….Props and Pistons initially involved some of our friends and customers who either owned or knew of some nice cars to exhibit. The event has steadily grown and we’re now reflecting on one of our biggest events to date.

Bridgestone’s key accounts manager Sam Allatt said: “We exhibited our commercial tractor tyres, the VT-TRACTOR for the first time, whilst also giving away a set of premium car tyres for one lucky winner at our stand. We were busy with a number of activities on the day and it was great to receive so much positive feedback.”
