Yamaha chooses Pirelli for YZF-R1

Pirelli Moto testing director Salvo Pennisi with the Yamaha YZF-R1

The Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP has been approved as the original equipment tyre for the new Yamaha YZF-R1. The 200 horsepower, 998cc sport bike was developed using YZR-M1 MotoGP technology and is equipped with the Diablo Supercorsa SP in size 120/70 ZR17 at the front and 190/55 ZR17 on the rear wheel.
