Pichler Tools invest in new software systems
Workshop tools supplier, Pichler Tools has launched a new software system which they believe will boost productivity, and support continued sales growth. OrderWise, from supplier Wise Software, offers support through a strong UK base, which includes a staff team of nearly 100 people, as well as a community of over 8,500 active users.
Pichler say the new software will fully automate stock management, purchasing and order processing functions that were previously reliant on some manual controls – delivering significant time savings for the Ashbourne-based tool specialist.
“All our customer, stock and order information is now in one place,” said Steve Prince, managing director of Pichler Tools. “We’ve chosen a system that’s simple to use, which can also scale up as business grows.
“Thanks to a well-planned implementation, that’s included comprehensive training, we’re delighted to say things couldn’t have run any more smoothly.”
The new software came online on 1 July, since when Pichler says it has already raised first-pick rates across a product range of more than 12,500 items by ensuring more fast-moving products are held in stock. Pichler’s orders are then delivered next-day by courier to a UK automotive customer base.
Time is critical because Pichler’s problem-solving tools are typically needed urgently by garage customers. Solutions are available for many problems, including common rail diesel, timing, braking, and suspension systems.
