Easi Recycling introduces higher capacity tyre baler
York-based supplier of recycling equipment and solutions, Easi Recycling has added a new, high capacity product to its portfolio of balers and compactors. While the company’s range has always included tyre balers, the newly upgraded line now includes the higher output W8500H baler. Processing between 400 and 500 tyres per hour, with an 85 ton pressing force and increased support pressing plate, the W8500H has been designed and manufactured purposefully for the tough material waste management of vehicle tyres, Easi states.
The Yorkshire firm says that the presence of “approximately 48 million waste tyres in the UK per year” has led to a greater need for sturdy, heavy duty baling presses both to handle the demand and reduce the impact on storage and transportation resources. Over recent years tyre bales have emerged as the solution to the challenge of turning waste tyres into useful resources; some applications for the bales include defence walls, lining of landfill cells to prevent toxins leaking into ground waters, farm roads, horse gallops, and more.
A dual bale size select switch, producing PAS 108 specification tyre bales (meaning that they can be used in construction), and many other features resolve the problems of space limitations and rising transportation costs, Easi adds. The compacted bales permit double stacking height and over double the number of tyres can be transported in a 40’ container when baled. This equates to an 80 per cent reduction in demand for floor space and a 40 per cent reduction in transportation costs, according to Easi’s figures.
Jon Earnshaw, managing director of Easi Recycling commented: “We have seen the market for recycled tyre bales grow over the last few years. Listening to customer feedback and future market indicators, we have sourced the W8500H to ensure we can offer our customers the machinery that will give them the best cost effective solution to their recycling needs.”
