Pirelli and Rosneft expand partnership
During the course of the International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg, Marco Pirelli CEO Tronchetti Provera and Igor Sechin (chairman of the majority of Russian state-controlled oil company Rosneft) announced that their companies had deepened the partnership entered into in late 2012.
This deal stipulates that the number of Russian Pirelli points of sale should be expanded in Rosneft-service stations. Later this year the partners will create up to 15 of these “flagship Tire Centers” in the Moscow area, by 2019 the goal is for 200 such outlets in Russia.
At the same time Pirelli’s largest single shareholder ChemChina announced that it had entered into a reciprocal share/crude oil supply deal with Rosneft.
