Intergomma shows entire Aeolus range at Autopromotec

Having working together since 1997, at this year’s Autopromotec Italian distributor Intergomma SpA showed tyres representing the entire Aeolus range. The centrepieces were the two forks of the new ACE2 range, the ultra high-performance SteeringACE2 and high-performance PrecisionACE2.

The firm’s cooperation with Aeolus Tyre Co.; Ltd began with sales of OTR and TBR tyres in the early days, but latterly has stretched to include passenger car tyres as well. From the beginning, Fabio Falorni (president and founder of the company) has attached importance to the qualitative marketing of Aeolus products as opposed to simply selling on price. The philosophy? To wholly embrace Aeolus products and make no secret of the fact that they are manufactured in China.

Certified in accordance with ISO 9001, Intergomma SpA points to the various accreditations Aeolus has achieved as testament to the range’s quality. As a result of these standards, says Intergomma, names such as Manitou, Magni, Venieri, Dieci and Faresin have all used Aeolus tyres. In addition, Cometto and De Angelis brand trailers are fitted with Aeolus tyres. Volvo and CGT-Caterpillar are distribution partners for Aeolus tyres.

Intergomma was founded in 1967 to supply tyres for vehicles in the agricultural, construction, industrial and earthmoving sectors. Today, Intergomma employs over 80 salaried and freelance staff, has a production area of 40,000 m2, of which 15,000 m2 are covered, and manages an inventory of over 225,000 products.

The addition of passenger car tyres

In 2013 the range was expanded to include Aeolus car tyres, which were initially showcased at Autopromotec for the first time. A conscious decision was made to market the entire Aeolus product range. “We want to be a reliable and service-oriented partner for both our existing customers and new customers. Our current business plan includes substantial investments for development and service in distribution to our commercial partners. The existing and comprehensive ‘24-7 just in time’ service for truck and on-location fitting will be expanded by new capacity in technical service, new staff will join the distribution organisation and an extensive training programme will be launched! We are planning an extensive performance package for growth over the coming years!” explained Simona Falorni, general manager at Intergomma SpA.

Falorni continued: “The development of the dealer network together with Aeolus is a key part of the package. Our aim is to put the Aeolus brand at the very forefront of the industry, particularly the car tyre range. Together with Aeolus, we will launch a marketing campaign from June 2015. As part of this, we will initially establish the ‘service value partner’ programme at up to 10 locations with selected resellers and install the SVP shop systems this year. Planning is already underway. We will also increase advertising and online activities!”

In Bologna, Intergomma showcased the entire Aeolus range for cars, SUVs and vans. As a highlight of the exhibition, the company presented its new ACE2 line to the Italian public and press in the form of the ultra high-performance summer tyres SteeringACE2 and high-performance summer tyres PrecisionACE2.

“Italy is a very important market for us in Europe. Here at Autopromotec, we meet precisely the target groups and potential customers we need for our market expansion, as we did at ‘AutoZum’ in Salzburg back in January and at ‘motortec’ in Madrid in March. The time of the trade fair is also perfect for the timeframe we have for the extensive presentation of our new ACE2 line,” explained Thomas Wohlgemuth, general manager, West Europe, adding: “The launch of our ACE2 line clearly underscores the AEOLUS brand positioning as a supplier of high-performance products, with certified quality for the UHP SteeringACE2 and HP PrecisionACE2!”

And what’s more, the SteeringACE2 [Report N°713060179/AU03] and the PrecisionACE2 [Report N°713048423/AH03] bear the TÜV quality label from TÜV SÜD Product Service, independently attesting to their European quality standards.
