Final US anti-dumping hearings begin tomorrow
The US International Trade Commission (ITC) embarks on the final phase of its anti-dumping and countervailing hearings tomorrow (9 June 2015). This follows the July 2014 ITC decision that there is “a reasonable indication” of material injury to the US tyre industry by alleged Chinese government subsidies to tyre manufacturers.
The Commerce Department’s (DOC) International Trade Administration has implemented preliminary determinations on countervailing and antidumping duty margins against manufacturers and distributors of
Chinese tires. The DOC’s final determinations are due on 12 June. This could result in a final verdict in July.
