Continental fully acquires Alençon Pneus, integrating into BestDrive network
In May 2011, Continental acquired a 49.9 per cent in French tyre chain Alençon Pneus; the company has now exercised its option to purchase the remaining share, and has become the 100 per cent owner of Alençon Pneus.
The 43 Alençon Pneus outlets, which previously traded under the ‘Profil+’ brand name, will take on Continental’s ‘BestDrive’ network name by the beginning of next year. Following Continental’s acquisition of numerous tyre dealers last year, including the more than 110 outlets belonging to Groupe Massa in July 2014, the BestDrive network now consists of 230 sales points.
