Bridgestone’s Garfield elected to natural gas company board

The Board of Directors of Piedmont Natural Gas have elected Gary Garfield, CEO and president of Bridgestone Americas, Inc., to the company’s board.

Garfield joined Bridgestone in 1991, and has served as CEO and president of Bridgestone Americas since March 2010. On 1 September 2014, he was also promoted to the position of senior vice-president of Bridgestone Corporation.

Piedmont Natural Gas is a US-based energy services company that is primarily engaged in the distribution of natural gas to more than one million residential, commercial, industrial and power generation customers in portions of North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
