Pirelli one of America’s ‘most reputable companies’
In the US, Pirelli Tire North America has been named among the most reputable companies in the United States, according to the annual US RepTrak 100 list released by Reputation Institute and published in Forbes. The US RepTrak rankings measure the public’s perception of companies based on seven dimensions: innovation, leadership, governance, citizenship, workplace, performance, and products/services. The 2015 list of America’s 100 most reputable companies is compiled annually by Reputation Institute.
“Pirelli is honoured to be a part of the US RepTrak 100 list for the first time ever. This reflects our commitment to the US market, where we have been increasingly focused on new product development and launches specifically for North American drivers and manufacturers. This draws from our renowned technology, innovation and product know-how that we have built over 140 years,” said Pierluigi Dinelli, CEO and chairman of Pirelli Tire North America.
The RepTrak database is said to be normative, examining 15 stakeholder groups in more than 25 industries and more than 50 countries for more than 7,000 companies. The 2015 US RepTrak 100 examines perceptions of companies by the US general public based on over 70,000 interviews.
“The top US companies proactively manage their reputations by investing as much in corporate dimensions like governance, citizenship and workplace as they do in their products and services,” says Brad Hecht, chief research officer at Reputation Institute.
“Companies with strong reputations are 15 times more likely to attract better talent and they reap significant financial benefits, too. The most reputable companies see a stock performance that is two times better than the overall market and they benefit from a 6.5 per cent increase in recommendations every time they improve their RepTrak score by 5 points.”
