Tarox Porsche 911 3.8 Carrera S brake upgrade
Tarox has developed a new front brake upgrade for the latest 991 Series Porsche 911 3.8 Carrera S. With greater emphasis on weight reduction through the use of aluminium in the car’s construction, the new Porsche has inspired Tarox to develop a new two-piece billet steel and anodised alloy hub structure to directly replace the factory single-piece disc.
Each of the components is manufactured for ease of fitment and the ability to consistently reign in the accelerative might of the 400 horsepower engine, Tarox states. The Tarox Bespoke brake upgrade also helps the sports car lose another kilogramme per corner, a feature Tarox says should provide tangible rewards in steering response.
The Tarox Bespoke upgrade retains the original equipment dimensions of 340x34mm. However, while it is possible to specify the discs with drilled holes to match OE specification, Tarox engineers recommend the company’s spiral groove F2000 design for optimal service life. The disc is priced at £950.40 including VAT per pair.
