Exol reaches final of two Express & Star awards
Exol Lubricants has been nominated for two awards at the Express & Star Business Awards 2015. Following on from last year’s victory as manufacturing champion at the same awards, Exol is a finalist in the category of the Export Award and headline award of Business of the Year. The Express & Star Business Awards presentation evening takes place at Wolverhampton Racecourse on June 11. According to the newspaper, more applicants than ever before entered the awards with 33 companies going through to the final. Exol will now undergo a rigorous assessment including a series of site visits, as part of the judging process.
At last year’s awards, Exol was praised for its “transformation” and “ability to adapt” to very challenging market conditions in the past 30 years. Since then, Exol has substantially grown its export business, supplying to more than 30 countries worldwide and completed the construction of its new production facility in the West Midlands.
Steve Dunn, Exol sales director, said: “We’re delighted to reach the final of the Express & Star awards and our entry into these new categories underlines our continued progression as a business supplying high quality products both in the UK and abroad.”
Keith Harrison, Express & Star Editor, said: “The awards shows the quality and depth of the business community across the Black Country, Staffordshire and the surrounding area. We believe that the strong level of entries is testament to the resilience of the economic recovery we are now seeing, These are the companies and organisations that are the bedrock of the that recovery: their ambition and the growth they are creating are putting us all on the path to a brighter future.”
