International Tyre Colloquium comes to UK’s Surrey University
Following events in Delft, Berlin and Vienna in previous years, this year the fourth International Tyre Colloquium will be held from 20 to 21 April 2015 at the University of Surrey, Guildford, UK.
The 4th Tyre Colloquium – an event that only runs every few years – will focus on topics related to modelling of tyres for vehicle dynamics analysis, including: Tyre measurements and measurement techniques; Tyre models; Application of tyre models to vehicle dynamics; Determination of tyre model parameters; Measurement and modelling of rubber friction; Tyre-road contact; Simulation and extrapolation of tyre behaviour in different operating conditions; Tyre models for special applications; Evaluation and verification of tyre models; and tyre design features and their consequences for the tyre behaviour.
With over 45 confirmed technical presentations, the event is aiming to become one of the most important vehicle/tyre related events in 2015. Speakers include world-leading experts such as Dr. Günter Leister (Daimler AG), Prof. Christian Oertel (FH Brandenburg) and Prof. Robin Sharp (University of Surrey).
The first Tyre Colloquium was organised by Prof Pacejka in 1991 (Delft), the second one was in Berlin in 1997, organised by Prof Böhm and Prof Willumeit, and the third one was in Vienna in 2004, organised by Prof Lugner and Prof Plöchl.
