Hämmerling appointments to drive further internationalisation

The Hämmerling Group is further internationalising and expanding its purchasing and export teams with the addition of new staff for these areas. At present the tyre wholesaler is looking for someone to head up exports; the new appointee will be expected to “drive the continuous expansion of market share within Europe and propel further growth by seeking out new distribution partners.”

According to a Hämmerling press release, the wholesaler – which is active throughout Europe – aims to further promote manufacturer-independent tyre purchasing in the global free market. “The company will pass the resulting price advantages directly to the customer,” it reports. Hämmerling’s purchases on the global free market include all brands of tyres and wheels for both passenger cars and commercial vehicles. To this end the German wholesaler also looks for residual stocks, DOT (new tyres from older manufacture), demo (demounted new tyres) and DA (new tyres with cosmetic blemishes) products, complete wheels and discontinued articles. “We respond to every offer,” comments head of purchasing, Sascha Lorenz.
