Goodyear, Nokian joint winners in SUV tyre test

The Autobild family of publications includes titles for various specific automotive niches. Auto Bild Allrad caters to the 4×4/SUV segment, and its most recent issue included a test of 11 size 215/65 R16 tyres. A Volkswagen Tiguan served as test vehicle.

Joint gold went to the Goodyear EfficientGrip SUV and Nokian Line SUV – both tyres were rated ‘exemplary’. ‘Recommended’ ratings were given to Pirelli’s Scorpion Verde and the Continental CrossContact, and these two tyres were closely followed by the ‘good’ rated Dunlop Sport BluResponse. A further four tyres – the Vredestein Sportrac 5, Falken Ziex ZE914 EcoRun, Firestone Destination HP and Hankook Dynapro HP2 – were handed a ‘satisfactory’ rating.
